Verification of costs - audit of financial statements of projects

We audit the financial reports of the projects in order to check whether the funds received through the projects have been spent in accordance with the agreement between the donor and the beneficiary of the funds.
Audit evidence is being collected that the stated costs in the project have actually been incurred. The project audit process itself begins with the auditor familiarizing himself with the project and reviewing the project documentation.
The auditor checks the documentation on the basis of which the financial report of the project was drawn up, as well as checking the reality of the costs. The auditor uses accounting documents, contracts and invoices related to the expenditure of funds, evidence of services rendered, receipt of goods, completion of works and payment.
